On March 29, at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) Portugal round in the WorldSSP category, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Zhang Xue Motorcycle won both race rounds, achieving a historic breakthrough for Chinese motorcycle manufacturers in the WSBK and breaking the decades-long dominance of European, American, and Japanese brands such as Ducati and Yamaha.
It is worth noting that the core exhaust pipe of the racing motorcycle used by the rider was manufactured by Jiangmen Ruiyue Industrial Co., Ltd. The two key components made in Jiangmen, from “front to rear,” provided strong support for the championship victory, demonstrating the solid strength of manufacturing in this overseas Chinese hometown and verifying the significant results of Jiangmen’s efforts to promote high-quality manufacturing development based on national and Guangdong provincial industrial policies.
Jiangmen Ruiyue Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Ruiyue Industrial”) was established in December 2004. It is a comprehensive enterprise integrating the design, manufacturing, and sales of various sports and recreational motorcycle fuel tanks, fenders, exhaust pipes (mufflers), and Carbon Fiber products. The company has built well-known independent brands such as “CRAZY OLD MAN” within the industry.
Ruiyue Industrial provides high-quality and stable supporting services for more than ten domestic motorcycle manufacturers and is a long-term partner of several internationally recognized motorcycle modification brands, including Zhang Xue Motorcycle. Its products are widely sold in Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and the domestic market.
Chen Huazhu, assistant to the general manager, told reporters that in order to meet emission and high-speed power requirements, the top-level muffler of the Zhang Xue Motorcycle 820RR-RS racing model adopts segmented materials including carbon fiber, aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, and titanium alloy. Among them, titanium alloy presents great challenges in forming and welding due to significant shape changes in the upgraded muffler, requiring extremely high levels of craftsmanship and technical expertise. To enhance the texture and weather resistance of titanium alloy, Ruiyue Industrial applied special surface treatment processes.
Chen added that in terms of internal structure, Ruiyue has long provided supporting components for motorcycles ranging from 300cc to 2000cc, including cruisers, racing bikes, and off-road vehicles. With over 20 years of technical accumulation, the company provided key technical support for Zhang Xue Motorcycle’s championship victory.
The technological breakthroughs of Ruiyue Industrial reflect the deep accumulation of Pengjiang’s motorcycle industry chain in digital transformation and new material applications, serving as a microcosm of Jiangmen manufacturing’s move toward higher value.
From front-end safety protection to rear-end power output, the “front and rear” components made in Jiangmen ensured the championship victory. Behind this achievement lies the strong capability of Jiangmen’s motorcycle industry cluster.
Jiangmen is the first “China Motorcycle Industry Demonstration Base” in the country and a “hidden champion” in motorcycle exports. In 2025, Jiangmen’s motorcycle industry achieved a total industrial output value of 41.809 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.7%. The total production reached 5.4338 million units, with exports exceeding 21 billion yuan, growing by more than 40%. Its export share is close to one quarter of the national total, maintaining a leading position in both industrial scale and foreign trade competitiveness.
Even more impressive, one out of every five motorcycles exported from China is made in Jiangmen. Over the past three years, export value has grown at an average annual rate of 30.7%. This is supported by Jiangmen’s strong industrial foundation, with more than 110 large-scale enterprises forming a complete industry chain from front-end design to after-sales service.
The development momentum of Jiangmen’s motorcycle and parts industry remains strong. Dachangjiang Motorcycle has ranked first in sales for 20 consecutive years, Zhufeng Motorcycle has achieved continuous export growth, Jianya Motorcycle’s “Xiangshuai” brand is well known overseas, and Xinghuo shock absorbers have become core components in the industry.
In 2026, Jiangmen’s motorcycle industry continues to accelerate its high-quality development. In March, Guangdong Zongshen Industrial Group increased its investment in Heshan by 2 billion yuan, bringing the total investment to 5 billion yuan. The project aims to build a high-end intelligent motorcycle manufacturing base and create a fully automated unmanned demonstration factory. After reaching full production, it is expected to increase annual motorcycle production capacity by about 1.2 million units, with an annual output value exceeding 10 billion yuan. This represents not just capacity expansion, but also the deep integration of intelligent manufacturing into the motorcycle industry.
At the government level, Jiangmen is committed to making the motorcycle industry a “flagship” of its manufacturing sector. By leveraging its overseas Chinese connections and global business networks, the city aims to promote product exports and achieve an industry chain output value exceeding 50 billion yuan by 2026.
In terms of brand promotion, Jiangmen successfully held the 2025 China Overseas Chinese (Jiangmen) Motorcycle Industry Culture Week from November 21 to 23 last year, with participation from 82 enterprises across the motorcycle industry chain. The event showcased Jiangmen’s business environment, industrial support system, and platform resources, building the brand image of “Quality Motorcycles, Made in Jiangmen.” It is reported that Jiangmen will continue to plan and host this event to create a nationally recognized industry IP.
Looking ahead, as Jiangmen’s high-end equipment manufacturing cluster continues to grow, the city will further optimize its industrial layout and business environment. More high-quality components and products made in Jiangmen are expected to appear on top international racing stages, continuing to write a new chapter of Jiangmen’s intelligent manufacturing reaching the global technological peak.
